This is the moment after Wrath has wreaked its havoc, the devastation it causes rather than the moment of anger.

Planks are scattered over the top surface of the base and a set of geometric forms are strewn on the top and sides. These two elements are inspired by the idea of emotional and intellectual chaos.

The front half of the base is covered in cloth and is inspired by Michael Sandel’s ‘The end of the Third Reich’, coffin drapes and material laid over dead bodies in a morgue. From a purely sculptural point of view I used the cloth to visually slow down the front part of the sculpture so that attention is drawn to the head of Wrath.

The shape of the head of Wrath is inspired by a cobra hood’s which quietly gives a slightly unerring emotional undercurrent.

The sulphur yellow core in the base acts like a black hole pulling the christian cross in to it. The Wrath head wears two yellow earrings which together with the main downward cross form an inverted triumvirate of crosses like the crucifix at Golgotha.

흩어진 판자와 기하학적 형태들:

베이스(기저부) 상단 표면에는 판자들이 흩어져 있고, 기하학적 형태들이 상단과 측면에 흩어져 있습니다. 이 두 가지 요소는 감정적, 지적 혼란의 개념에서 영감을 받았습니다.

천으로 덮인 베이스의 앞부분:

베이스의 전면 절반은 천으로 덮여 있으며, 이는 마이클 샌델의 ‘제3제국의 종말(The End of the Third Reich)’, 관 위에 덮인 천, 그리고 시체 위에 덮이는 천에서 영감을 받았습니다.

순수 조형적 관점에서는, 이 천이 조각의 전면부를 시각적으로 느리게 만들어 관람자의 시선이 분노의 머리 부분으로 자연스럽게 집중되도록 유도합니다.

코브라 후드에서 영감을 받은 머리 모양:

분노의 머리 모양은 코브라의 후드에서 영감을 받았으며, 이는 은은하지만 약간의 불안감을 불러일으키는 감정적 분위기를 조성합니다.

베이스의 황색 중심부:

베이스의 황색 중심부는 블랙홀처럼 작용하여 기독교 십자가를 빨아들이는 역할을 합니다.

노란색 귀걸이와 역삼위 십자가:

분노의 머리에는 두 개의 노란색 귀걸이가 달려 있으며, 중심부에 아래로 향한 십자가와 함께 역삼각형 구조의 십자가 배열을 형성합니다. 이는 갈보리 언덕(Golgotha)에서의 십자가 처형을 떠올리게 만듭니다.
